First Time

Information to get you started

When we first meet, I will welcome you into a safe space and respect your pace as we talk. I will ask questions about what made you come to therapy, whether there is a diagnosis, how this has developed so far, whether you have received psychological care before, what helped you and what didn’t. We will also talk about practical aspects of the therapy, such as confidentiality, schedule, payment, absences, etc.

I will send you an intake form when you schedule your first session. Please provide the required information before the beginning to facilitate processing your payment and Medicare rebate (if applicable) at the end of the session.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan or an NDIS Plan, I will need you to send it to me. Additionally, please bring any other documents or letters from professionals you consider will be helpful for the therapy.

Online Therapy

Just like a psychology session in person, it’s essential that you are in a confidential, safe and comfortable environment for your online consultation – a space to freely express yourself without concerns about others overhearing you.

Depending on your preference, you can do your online session from home, work, or even your car. You must have a stable internet connection and a device that allows you to make video calls, such as a computer, phone, tablet, etc.

A link to your online appointment will be sent to you by email a few minutes before it starts. On the day, I recommend setting up and being ready a few minutes before your session begins, which will give you a moment to reflect upon the session we are about to hold.
